Cards to consider

I have a HD 4850 1gb, 750W PSU and room for any GPU in the market ATM plan on buying in the next 40 days, limited to about 750$ and looking for any setup with my MOBO: ASUS Crosshair IV

What is your CPU and PSU and gaming resolution. Hell with 750 dollars you could get the 5970.

$750 is alot. You're looking at two GTX460's in SLI for $420 (EVGA superclocked gtx460 at $209.99 newegg x 2) or a 5970 at around $670

You can SLI with the Crosshair IV? I thought it was Crossfire only? I mean I know it does with hacked drivers.... but still.

PS: Spending less isn't a bad idea, most people tell me to get the 5970 and I'm all for it but I'm I missing out with the GTX 480 or GTX 295?

There is no point in a 295 anymore. 480 amazing, but since you have a CF motherboard (unless you don't mind hacked drivers) I would recommend sticking with ATI so in the future you can CF if you want.

Well I don't see anything that can slow down the 5970 so I'll most likely get it, but CFing 2 of them... maybe when the 6xxx series is out... maybe
