I'm going to build a budget gaming rig and the part that im not pretty sure is the ram.I wanted to know if a ram @ 1600 Mhz with CAS7 is better from a memory @ the same frequency with CAS8 or CAS9...Am i going to see a difference if i pick a ram with the least cas??
ps:1)im going to pair those rams with an amd fx-4300 and i prefer g.skill rams...
2)i would be glad if you could suggest me rams (from g.skill or not) for gaming...
Thanks in advance
Christopher

CAS latency is a number which represents a delay in cycles - the lower the delay, the more responsive the ram is (lower CAS is better). If you're talking of 1600MHz ram and only a one cycle difference, you would not notice the difference yourself but when running intensive tasks over a period of time (gaming is not considered an intensive task for my purposes) that one cycle may translate into minutes of time savings - which can be important in professional environments
I run this in my gaming rig and am quite happy with it http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231445
