I have been fighting with my system for months, and months now. I've had a bunch of problems with this build, and so far I have changed EVERYTHING, RMA CPU, upgraded mother board, upgraded PSU, and I can't figure out what is going on with it. During games like Borderlands 2 I get massive stuttering, and dropped frames to low 40s, I have my CPU overclocked at 4.8GHz, and I am running an EVGA 780ti superclocked card. I am using Vengeance 1600 2 x 4GB modules, and I've even swapped with my room mate for his ripjaw x sticks. Both are the exact same specs. When I run Passmark, everything is as good as it gets until you get to the 2D, and Mem tests. My memory is quite slow in its read and write speeds, and I don't understand why. I was thinking about picking up http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231623 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231617 to see if the speed fixes my issue or not. Regardless I think I am going to pick one of them sets up anyway. I just really need help before I throw my computer out the window! :)

I have had great luck with G. Skill RAM. So, I am biased when it comes to RAM. But if the motherboards memory controller is bad, then it really doesn't matter what brand that you buy.
Once you get your new RAM. I would recommend that you download Memtest86+ (if you haven't already) ,and let it run overnight. If the new RAM fails memtest, then I think it is time to assume that memory or cache controller is bad.

Have you checked the voltages from your PSU? I would make sure that the voltages are acceptable and stable.

I thought it was my PSU so I just got a new one. Though it did actually help my system a little, the problem is still there. I had my Vengeance sticks in, then my room mates gskill and the same problem. I have been finding info that the FX chips are slow when it comes to the MC, so that may just be my problem. I have the NB OCed at 2600, but maybe I need more? IDK. I also don't know when I will be able to get the new ram either. I'm thinking in 2 weeks, but maybe 4.
