What is this computer for?

As for the case here is a good one. 750D I also changed the PSU. Do not get a bad PSU with that build it could damage the parts. You picked a Tier 3 PSU it is likely to not deliver enough power to the system and cause problems.

Another good case is a Phanteks Enthoo Pro or Luxe.

Thanks for the reply.

The system will be mainly for gaming, but I am a programmer by profession and also do image editing / 3d modelling and such.

I am looking at the case(s) now, they look nice, but are there any particular reasons they stand out for you?

Also - RE: the PSU - I thought I'd already chosen one that was above my needs (actually on purpose in case I wanted to SLI later). Why don't you think the NZXT will be up for it? Is it a bad manufacturer?

The 750D is one of the best cases from review websites everywhere. I have a X99 build with the Luxe and it is really nice but I may wish I had went with the 750D.

PSUs are all about brands. The wattage does mean stuff but the brand and quality is much more important. You got to trust it is going to deliver steady and correct power to parts. I cant trust that PSU you had.

Cheers guys..

You have me in a bit of a pickle.. You both recommended the Phanteks (and I too favour function over form), so the democratic in me thinks this is a good bet, but given you [IntelTutleFan] have experience with both, it leaves me torn.

Also, I will take your advice on the PSU, I don't want to risk anything major for the difference of a few pounds.

Finally could I ask, do you know which offers the better cooling - is it advised to get 'after-market' fans, or are the included ones decent?
