I have the F2A85-V Pro mobo from ASUS. All my fan connectors on the mobo are 4 pin. The APU/CPU came with a 4 pin connector so this part of the issue is fine. From my last build I have 3 120mm case fans which are 3 pin. I have read some of your forum conversations about being able to use the 3 pin on the mobo 4 pin connectors. Well, that's great, but my connectors on the 3 pin fans are to fat to just slide onto the 4 pin male connectors. Just underneath the pins on the 4 pin connector is a tab that will not allow the 3 pin con to connect to the 4 pin. I could very easily, but carefully break, the tabs off but I'm fairly sure that doing so would invalidate my warranty, so I'm not going to do that.
Does Tomshardware have the connector I need to accomplish this? From what I read in your forums it may be beneficial to have something like that.
I'm thinking I should purchase the 4 pin fans but I really hate to not be able to use the 3 pin ones.
Thank you
Dave
