I just picked up an old pc (I’ll link a photo below) for free and looking for ideas on how to best filter the intakes to prevent the absurd amount of dust this has built up in it. The front fan is a 200mm fan and it does have a halfway decent filter. The side is a HUGE mesh panel that also has a 200mm fan which is not filtered. Also the bottom of the case has a 140mm intake which is also unfiltered. This amount of cooling is probably way overkill but hey that’s what the case is made for. 2 200mm intakes 1 140mm Intake, 1 200mm exhaust on top 1 90mm exhaust in back.

Anyways looking for ideas or if anyone has modded these successfully and had good results? It’s a project build jsut looking to have fun with it. Any ideas are welcome

Solution
140mm fan filter

The top fan is exhausting, so unless dust is falling into it while it's off, it shouldn't be a huge problem. Fan filters these days are just fine metal screen. Since that fan is exhausting and not liable to pull the mesh into it, you could do a DIY filter here.
