Case fan have stange speed fan

Hi !

When i go into my BIOS, or when i look at it on HWmonitor, one of my case fan have regular speed spike but i do not hear any changes.
it goes to the 700/800 to 1900 and sometimes to 16000/19000.


Is it a dangerous problem or can i just don't be worried about that ?.

It mau just be a silent fan so you can't hear it?

Yeah maybe but i don't really know if i should be worried about that...

Have you tried plugging it into a difference fan header? may just be a faulty fan header

Yeah i'll give this a try, but all my fan header on my motherboard are taken.

just take out one fan for the time being and test it on another one

And in the case of the Fan header would be faulty, would this speed spike be a real problem ? ( they are occuring for half a second and then are going back to normal )

If it was just that single header, just avoid using it, might just be a faulty fan header

And if this is just this faulty header and i wanted to use it anyway, what would be the possible issue that could worried me ? ( appart some speed spike for half a second)

nothing much really, might just destroy your fans

Oh ok, so that's not really a big deal i guess.

Maybe i can try to set it to a constanrt speed to see if it's fluctuate with this kind of setting ?

Well i tried to set up a higher base speed for this fan, and when the speed is constantly higher than 1000 RPM, the issue disappear.
