Case Fan keeps running even after MSI GTX 960 GAMING 4G cools down.

Title is self evident. My graphics card will start using its fan while I am playing - which is fine - and my case fan will also activate. However, even after the card is cooled down several hours after the high-intensity use, my case fan will still be running extremely loudly. Why doesn't it stop running at full speed?

maybe taking its time to cool down your cpu. what are the temps of your PC when you stop gaming? Also what are your specs

I don't think that's it. My CPU never has problems cooling down. I mean that the case fan is running at full speed a huge amount of time after the gaming session, and won't stop until I hibernate/shut down my machine.

I have an XPS 8300 with an i7-2600 (regular), 8 GB RAM, the stated card, and a H67 mobo.

have you tried playing with the fan curves in the bios to see if you can adjust it?

It's a Dell, so I doubt he has that much control over the fans. There's a piece of software called Speedfan that may allow him to throttle the fan.

There's also the fact that I have next-to-no experience with BIOS fiddling. I know that something is wrong with whatever is telling the fan to shut off, but I don't know how to fix that. Is Speedfan just a band-aid manually turn down the fan thing or will it help with automatically going back down?
