Heya folks, I came here to ask on how I can solve this issue that I have with my PC. Its a pretty common issue and I'm sure there are many solutions so here we go;

I've bought my new PC recently (in July 2014), and since around September my PC has been making this strange noise on start up which would last for about 5 minutes and then it would stop. I looked inside my PC whilst this was happening and realized it is the Case Fan. So I decided to clean the Case Fan, by taking it off the case and cleaning it. It didn't do anything, any other solutions?

How many pins does the fan (3 0r 4) have and to what is it connected. PSU.Mobo? I assume it is a stock fan. Does the place
you bought it at have tech or Rma support? You may just want to replace it.

Hello... it could need a drop Oil, between the shaft and bearing... can you see a opening to it, and use like a drop on a tooth pick to apply it? Sometimes you have to take a label off to get to the shaft bearing... Other wise a replacement will be needed... and maybe RMA it to the seller.

Well to answer the questions;

It is a 4 Pin, Stock Case Fan that I got from cyberpower.net when purchasing my PC. I could perhaps try putting oil on it, but as tea urchin suggests, it is not worth messing around when I can get a new one for £4.

I'll get a new Case Fan ASAP.
