Bios: A03

Ok this fan was working on the previous pc i had an i pulled it out and decided to put in my current pc, it worked the first time i used it, it spun at full speed it seemed, then later in the day i was updating my pc than the power went out, it ruined my os, windows 7, and i ended up fixing it, but ever since the fan never worked on this computer but it works on the old one, and yes i put it back into the old pc and tried it. So I am 85% sure that the problem is not the fan, the pc works great btw. Except for the fact that my gpu fan is broken and i have to replace it, other than that the pc works.

Solution

Get one of those and plug the fan directly to the PSU. You can find it for less than $10 in the nearest Microcenter.
Problem may be with your motherboard's fan power output. If you can, get another case fan and try to connect it to your board. If it doesn't work, the problem IS with the power output, unless the fan is connected to your PSU.

Yes the fan im using is a 3-pin motherboard fan, if that is the problem what do i do?
