Case Fan Not Working

Recently i bought a case fan for my PC because while i game for 2-3 it heats up.
I installed it into a empty slot and connected the 4 pin connector to 1 of my 2 motherboard "slots".
After i connected it i turned on my PC and checked speedfan.
It only said that my CPU and GPU fans are spinning and when i looked into the case the fan wasnt spinning.
Any ideas why?

Very hard to give a recommendation w/o identifying the MoBo, fan and what specific header it was connected to.

Speedfan is a utility that serves when the MoBo utility / BIOS control is unavailable ... a quite rare occurrence in this era. Check your BIOS / MoBo Manual is the only generic advice I can give w/o knowing components in question

Same as JackNaylorPE, it is hard to tell the issue without knowing the MoBo. If you weren't too set on using third party software that tracks the fan usage, you could always plug the fan directly into the PSU through the cords that have the numerous 4-pin molex connectors on them. If the fan uses a different pin orientation, you can always buy adapters to convert the 4-pin to maybe 3-pin fan connectors.

There will be pictures in the MoBo manual pointing to the locations. Look at your CPU cooler; follow the wore from the cooler to the MoBo, that's what it looks like

If you click on the image it will get larger; then click on the 3rd image on the right to get the 'flat" image with lables

Now use the zoom feature and look just to the left of the RAM slots at the top of the MoBo and you will clearly see CPUFAN1

Look on the left side of the image where it says 6 pin power connector and follow the red line. Just to the right of the 6 pin socket, you will see SYSFAN1

I just used this MoBo cause it's has a light background and is easy to read the lettering .... if you had listed your MoBo, would have used that.
