I just bought myself a cm scout II advanced, and i dont have any other components atm, can i some way test my fans without the psu and mb connected?

Solution

It's a fan. It spins.
Airflow doesn't count until you have all the other stuff in there. In the front, out the back.

You could probably cobble something together to turn them on, but it would not be easy.
Just wait until you have the rest of the parts.

I dont mean that, i ment that i want to test them, and check airflows ect, is there any way to turn the fans on at all?

you would have to build a board with power to test the fan according to the fan specs and also include plug cords to be able to plug in the fan also include an on and off switch . then you should be able to test the fan if it run. keep in mind that you dont want the test board to be over powering otherwise you'd burn the fan and then it would be useless.

Please don't resurrect 2 year old threads that are already solved.
Thanks.
