I have this case - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/phanteks-case-phes614pbk - that has a pwm hub with two case fans plugged into it and then a cpu fan header. Obviously this is connected to the psu by molex, however, in my bios it shows the fans at 0 rpm and 75% pwm even though they are running. Does the pwm hub not work or do all the fans just run at a certain uncontrollable speed.

Would it be possible to just plug my cpu cooler into the cpu fan header and then plug the two case fans into the system fan header so they could be controlled by temp and seen in bios? Sorry for my english. It is not my first language

I also have z97 gigabyte hd3 motherboard

Solution
Yes, the CPU cooler should be plugged into the CPU fan header. Computer probably will not boot if there is not a CPU cooler plugged into the CPU header. The others like you say, into the system fan headers. Plugging into the system fan headers will let the MB control the speeds.
