Hey all, I am almost done putting my rig together.
Specs:
Rosewill Galaxy - 02 Case
Intel Q9550 CPU
H50 Water Cooler
XFX Nvidia 790i SLI MB
(2) GTX 470 GPU's
8gb DDR3 1600 GSKILL Ripsaw ram
Lite On DVD Burner
Antec 850w PSU 80 Plus Bronze
My question is about this case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147184&ignorebbr=1
It has 4 fan mounting options and I want to utilize all 4. It has 2 mounts for 120mm in the rear, 1 on the top and 1 at the rear towards the top. It also has one at the bottom in the front for a 120mm. The last fan mount is located on the left side cover which is either 120mm or 140mm. However, I am going to modify the cover with a piece of plexy glass in the shape of the triangle portion and then make mounting tabs for 140mm and 200mm. I would like to keep a light type fan in all locations except maybe the cover. With the 2 470 cards it can get a little toasty inside the rig as well and I am big on keeping temps down. What setup would you recommend and why? And please keep in mind I am budget oriented so no Noctura gear 🙁 I have been browsing a lot but there are so many choices I would like to hear from you all. I have also came to the conclusion I should have the 2 rear fans push air out (1 pulling over the H50 radiator) and the front fan and side cover fan pulling air in, please advise if this is correct.
