Case fans connected to mobo running with psu unplugged

When i turned my pc off earlier I noticed that my case fans were running, I unplugged the psu and they were still running. I have tried updating the bios and reseting the bios but none of that has fixed it. I am running windows 8.1.

1 of them is connected to the motherboard, other 2 are molex to psu.

Are the 2 connected to the molex, the ones that still run?

Can you move them to motherboard case fan headers? Your case has 3 of them - one 4 pin and 2 x 3 pin.

That fixed my problem, Thank you so much. That was weird how my psu was still powering them after clearing the cmos and getting rid of the lingering power.

PSUs still run when the PC is switched off. eg so you can still charge usb devices
