Case Fans Postion

I want to ask about the fan position what will setup will have better performance.
1st Setup: 1 Intake in front and 1 Exhaust rear
2nd Setup: 1 Exhaust rear and 1 Exhaust side
The fans I use are the same 12 cm diameter (Aerocool Shark if it matters)

the side should never be used as exhaust. the point of a side intake is cooling for vga. go with setup 1.

Promote front-to-back airflow... Front / side / bottom intake fans, then top / rear as exhaust.
