Question Case fans

I recently built a friend a pc in the cooler master masterbox lite 5. The front of the case is solid with only has 2 small air vents at the top and bottom. The case came with only one rear fan. Would it hurt/help temps by adding 2 fans in the front considering there is minimal ventilation on the front? He wants led fans so it lights up the build a little more but I won't install them if it could somehow raise temps

The front of the case is NOT solid. That is just the front panel. The front panel comes OFF of the case, and the fans are mounted to the framework either outside or inside, under the front panel. You can see the details here:

There is plenty of room for intake through the openings that are provided in the front panel to allow for halfway decent cooling, and a lot of cases are exactly that way these days. You wouldn't want to use it for a radiator or high volume cooling setup, but for a normal gaming system it is fine.

LEDs do not raise temps. That's the whole point of LED lighting is that it uses little power and gives off very little heat.

That case will still allow enough air through the front openings to help (greatly) with improving airflow. Go for it. Add the fans.

Remember, front, side, and bottom fans suck cool air into the case. Rear and top fans pull hot air out of the case and exhaust it externally.

With only 1 rear exhaust fan, the fan is limited to pulling air from the nearest available source, that's going to be close to the fan itself, like the unused pci expansion slots by the gpu, the venting near the side of the psu, top open fan vent etc. It's going to pull very little (if any) fresh air from anywhere near the front of the case. So having any sort of fan in front is going to be a huge help in getting fresh air into the case and providing actual air Flow. It's not uncommon for a case with just 1 exhaust to drop as much as 20°C from the cpu under load situations, simply by adding a single front intake fan.
