im looking for a new case for my pc since the one i have right now is a bit too small and i feel like there isnt enough air flow. so im looking for a full tower and maybe buy an extra fan in since i do have a few lying around. i like lights, usb 3.0 isnt really important buy having 1/2 would be nice.

You don't really have enough stuff nor likely to be producing enough heat to NEED a full tower (they are really big) but nothing stops you. Also, don't discount having USB3.0 ports if your motherboard has a header. It is really great if you eventually have peripherals that can use them.

I'd personally just stick with a mid tower. Remember that having really low temps really doesn't do anything- go for moderate temps and aim for:
1. style that pleases you
2. low noise
3. enough airflow (not necessarily max airflow because they tend to be louder- less material to block noise and more holes)

The order might change if you were running multiple, high wattage components but really the CPU is the only thing that gets very hot in that system.

i would take a look at the " fractal R5 " very nice case mid size lots of options to upgrade including radiators and fans and filters , and it is all screwless and silent. looks very sleek and grown up. excellent cable management. has a nice big window. the R5 is much higher quality than your previous case thermaltake case and much more solid in build.
