I won't overclock, so it doesn't need to be that cool, the available space in my desk is 240mm wide x 500mm tall x 500mm deep.

I wanted a nice CPU because I video edit a bit (hence the hyper-threading)
 


.... then consider a Xeon instead. You can probably get a better Xeon for the money if your not gonna overclock. Or just go for a lesser i7
 


What kind of equivalent performance Xeon would you suggest?

I had a look and there is nothing I can find with similar performance, some are a bit cheaper but most people online are using the 4790k so I don't want to drop anywhere below it to fit with my 980ti.
