I have a CM HAF 912. The front fan 3 prong connector is too short to reach my mobo connection point. It came with molex(spelling?) Adapters for both the front and rear fans. My rear can connect to the mobo. Should I connect the rear to the mobo and just connect the front to the psu using the adapter? Or both to psu.

Solution
your choice. the motherboard ones are usually controlled by the motherboard to go faster or slower based on temp. If hooked up to the PSU, they're on full speed 24/7 which may not be liked if they are loud fans.

You could probably buy an extension cable from a local computer shop, or even online.
If you want the motherboard and BIOS to be aware of the fan, then you will have to connect it to the motherboard. Since it is a 3 pin connector, the motherboard won't be able to control the speed, but it would be aware of a fan failure.
If you don't care if it just runs when the computer is turned on, then there is no problem with connecting it directly to the PSU.
