Case has USB 3.0 Ports, but motherboard doesn't have USB 3.0 headers?

Can I hook up the front USB 3.0 ports to USB 2.0 headers on my motherboard? The front panel USB 3.0 ports will still work, just at USB 2.0 speed, correct? THANKS!!

Your motherboard has USB 3.0 ports on the rear panel, but not a header. You can use an adapter like this to connect your front panel ports to a USB 2.0 header on the board and use them at 2.0 speeds.

Your right it has the a Flex 3.0 header , partpicker can be wrong.

Actually it's a special Asrock thing, they call it "Flexible USB 2.0" - it's a USB 3.0 header that only runs at USB 2.0 speed. Interesting way to work around the limitations of the chipset.

Good thing to know as I did not know this. I mean i would look at it and be like WTH? Why isn't its running at 3.0? Now i know as well. And then after looking at the pic above and the actual motherboard I was like wait their are no headers there! haha
