Sorry if this is in the wrong category, but was not sure what category to put it in.

I have the H440, and would like to add case under glow to it. I have bought the following,

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Top-LED-Bright-Modding-Light/dp/B00C2Q4T9S/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1438637430&sr=8-14&keywords=molex+strip+light

How would I go about fixing this to the base of the case, and getting the cables to the PSU. Remember the H440 has that PSU shroud.

If I were to drill a hole big enough to pass the cables through in the underside of the case at the front, then I could have the cables come up below the drive cages, next to the PSU, would this work?

Solution
Maybe, but then you'd have a big honking hole down there that could mess with your airflow. I would look to see if you can find a grommet for the hole, like those used for tubing leading to exterior rads in water cooling.

Another option, if you're comfortable with it is to clip the Molex end off and splice it back after snaking it through the small void where the tie-down points are. (A good lineman's splice, heat-shrink tubing, and maybe a bit of solder just to be sure. AvE on Youtube has a good example of this splice.)

Don't be afraid to explore your options. These things have a lot of length on the cables, and they are thin. A little bit of clever routing you could snake it around the PSU and out the lowest expansion slot with maybe no more than some electrical tape or the like in the right color to hide it. You might even be able to fit the led strip through the tie-down void without cutting the cable at all. Check it out before you cut, you might not need to do anything else.

If the cut is necessary, the lineman splice is a good one, it's neat, compact, and strong.
