Case Mod Thoughts

So I plan on modding a Phanteks Enthoo Pro M (Tempered Glass Edition) http://www.phanteks.com/Enthoo-Pro-M-TemperedGlass.html and find the front to be really the only unattractive part of the case for me. To jazz it up I had the solution of simply cutting out most of the plastic front panel and mounting a tempered glass panel to fill the hole using the removable drive bay cover and fan grill outlines as a guide. The only issue I foresee is with no grill, will there be appropriate ventilation for the front fans as an intake through the side holes on the front panel cover? I thought maybe about making them larger by cutting out every-other piece, or if worse comes to worst, ultimately using acrylic instead of tempered glass and cutting a new mounting point for a fan grill. Thoughts?

Is is possible to remove the tint from this panel like a car or other tinted windows? I would like it clear and not acrylic if possible.

No the tint is in the glass. Might be possible to take it to a glass shop and replace it with non tinted tempered glass though.
