Case standoffs, problem?

So my case, the corsair graphite 230t, has preinstalled stand-offs for both ATX and Micro-ATX and Mini-ATX. It has standoffs for all of them pre-installed.

Now, I've heard a lot of people recommending to remove the standoffs because it shorts the motherboard. But, why would corsair preinstall them if they did that? And matter of fact I can't remove the standoffs! They're sealed in tight.

So what? Will my motherboard be okay?

Solution
Those are the mATX mounts, they are designed for shorter boards, they shouldnt cause issues.
The rubber one is the guide pin, its corsair's way of making life a bit easier. It holds the motherboard center while you put in the other screws, I have a steel guide pin in the center of mine.
Standoffs PREVENT shorting, thats their purpose. Without them the board would be sitting flat on a piece of steel, rather than held above it, plus it wouldnt line up with the I/O shield.

Corsair knows what they are doing, their cases are great quality.

Okay I just took another look, two standoffs will not be used. Both are in the middle of where my mobo will be (actually below the middle). But, there is also one standoff in the centre with a rubber head. Im confused.
