[SOLVED] Case-swap for prebuilt PC, hopefully ?

Okay, so this guy wants a case-swap and messaged me yesterday about his situation. He said that there's a GPU (an RTX 3060 ti) that he wants to use, but his case is too small for it. I'm trying to help him, but I don't know if his motherboard can be swapped because the information on it is weird. It says the model of the motherboard is a D500TC, but it has a B560 chipset. He also told me that his CPU cooler was weird because at times his temps would spike and his fan would just shut off for a couple of seconds which is another reason why he wants to switch cases to fit a cooler. I have some pictures that he sent me related to his computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

He has some extra pictures related to his benchmarking on his Reddit thread about his computer.

So, looking at the standoff locations for that motherboard in your image, they do not seem to match up with any of the standard form factors including ATX, microATX, mini ITX, or mini ATX. I'm guess this is likely a proprietary motherboard, case and probably also power supply although it's possible it may be a standard ATX power supply.

HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer and the other prebuilt OEMs commony use proprietary designs in their prebuild machines whether business, gaming or mainstream. My guess is at best he'll need a new case, motherboard and possibly power supply in addition to a cooler if he wants one.

What are the rest of the system specs? CPU model? Memory kit capacity and speed? PSU model?

So, looks like that is a standard ATX power supply but it's an EXTREMELY poor quality one. Acbel is terrible and if you are going to get into this I'd HIGHLY recommend replacing it. His problems likely aren't from the case or anything else. They are likely from that power supply and I'm INCREDIBLY surprised it even runs with that 300w PSU shaped object at all. Likely, this is why the fan gets weak and then shuts down. Obviously I can't be sure of that but I can lean far over the cliff in that direction.

Would be good to get a picture of that board either out of the case or at least with the graphics card removed, rear case fan removed and the optical drive slid out of the way so I can see the locations of ALL the motherboard standoffs.
I will ask him later on today to get a picture of the case with that stuff slid out of the way for a proper picture. I was also pretty sketched out about his power supply because of how it's mainly sold on websites that are also sketchy.

He got the picture, but he said that since the fan wasn't in the way of the standoffs, he just angled his camera and took the picture. I circled the standoffs using a red color.
Edit: apparently the optical drive is difficult to remove and he didn't want to waste time.

That looks like an M-ATX board, to my old eyes. The standoffs look to be the same as that for this Asus PRIME B560M-K.

This looks to be an Asus prebuilt. I have yet to see one that didn't use standard components. Case choice will come down to size of the graphics card, and the height of the CPU cooler you want to use. I also second the earlier recommendation on getting a better PSU. The one that is in that system now is not remotely good enough for a 3060ti.

Alright. He sent me a PSU and case that he'd like to get to swap.

Not sure about his exact 3060ti, but he said it's an MSI Gaming X RTX 3060ti with 3 stripes in the middle section of the top and the bottom. Let me know if he needs to choose a different power supply and/or case.
