CASE VENTILATION

I bought a server case but its got a complete set of vent holes above the rear MB output and card slots. Is it the case that air should go across the MB from
front to rear. The forced air from the power unit and rear fans will just take air from these holes. Rather useless for extracting across the MB. Should I tape over the holes and just allow the front access to air or not? What do you advise,

Run your system under load and monitor temperature, then tape it up and repeat. Go with the one that has a lower temp.
