Hi I am asking if you can help me with this problem, I have a pc case that's got two wires labelled Fan 1 & Fan 2. these are from the processor Temp Gauge, I think to power it up?. I am struggling with this as I cant see on my motherboard any connections what resemble a female connector like these one's ????? Help!! keith.

Solution
The gauge that you are referring to in your linked example is a case temperature gauge and not a CPU temperature gauge. Wish I had one built into my case :) ).

On my computer case (Corsair 'Obsidian' Series 650D) I also have wires labeled as Fan 1 and Fan 2 (along with Fan 3 & Fan 4). If your set-up is similar to mine then each two wire set ending in a small plug comes from the front mounted fan controller (4-position switch) and plug into each individual case fan. They DO NOT plug into the motherboard. There should also be a 4-pin Molex plug (also from the front mounted fan controller) that plugs into your power supply (PSU).

If you want to let your motherboard control the case fan speed rather than using the front mounted fan...
Please provide a little more detailed information about your build, like what mobo and case fans (stock or aftermarket) you have and whether you also have an aftermarket fan controller installed.

don't know the name of the case ? but I have a pc case with a blue fan on the front below and top half has a door to get to drives, in the front of this door is a circle that is roughly 2" round that is a processor temp gauge.. the wires come from that I suspect. 1 wire I have placed carefully in the heatsink ribs and then the other 2 wires I assume power it ???? don't know anymore sorry.

The motherboard is Biostar TH55B HD
inside from the front panel of the case is 2 x wires labelled Fan 1 & Fan 2 with a connector that is two pin male.

If you want to let your motherboard control the case fan speed rather than using the front mounted fan controller switch, then plug the fan plugs directly into the fan sockets (headers) on your motherboard and adjust your BIOS for fan speed. Do not use those front controller wires at all. Check with your motherboard instruction booklet as to where to plug in the case fans and how to enter and configure the BIOS.

Hope this helps and if you need more help, just ask !.

I have the plugs fan 1 & 2 but the front fan speed control no idea, what I will do now is to have a real good look in the case front to see if there is anything else like wires/plugs ect...
Many thanks for the info and I will re read your answer as i'm looking into this problem with my case. many thanks keith. :)
