Question Case with specific feature suggestion?

Can anyone please recommmend any cases with a completly flat, featureless solid top? Doesn't matter what material, but no buttons mesh, holes etc that are directly on the top.

Not very many these days, and the ones that are available, are all older designs.

Yep, most of these are top mount PSU with old school drive cages. Suitable for a light build inside, have to be cautious with GPU length, and width.

Why do you need a flat top case in the first place?


You can always turn a conventional case on it's side.

It's complicated..... but partly for esthetic reasons.

Turning the case on it's side is an option but may not be good from an airflow POV if not designed that way.

Ventilation/cooling is very important as you have recognized.

I understand 'esthetic' but not 'complicated'.

If you can share more details or relevant information without revealing privacy/security concerns then do so.

There may be additional ideas and suggestions.

Keeping the build cool is the priority - correct?

Aside from esthetic factors, the PC would be in a sometimes hot, quite dusty environment. It would also occasionally be subject to some dirt falling vertically. I wanted to see what specific options there are, but it doesn't seem like there are too many.

Not sure about the details and reasons regarding "subject to some dirt falling vertically".

Wondering about "sometimes" - is the PC being moved around?

Perhaps just some sort of "roof" above/over the PC would be viable. And need to be portable.

And I can envision other possible solutions depending on the circumstances and details.

My take is to treat the problem as an "industrial" problem without blame or judgement.

Share what you can without revealing any personal details.

Even post photographs if possible.

We have a lot of experienced and/or creative minded members who can offer ideas.

However, based on your post above, more needs to be known.
