hi guys just a quick question with cases, if you buy any decent one around the £100 mark is that pretty much it for life (as i dont mind the cosmetic appearance of them)

basically just make sure your case is big enough to house your components with a little room and leeway, and make sure it has at least 3 fan spots for a front back and top

anything else other than that is just cosmetic appearance and colors not much more to think about?

In general, while a good quality case is able to host several generations of internal components it will probably not last the average user "for life". The biggest limiting factor tends to be the front I/O panel. Your current case has USB 2.0 ports on its front panel. Many newer cases feature USB 3.0 and USB 3.0 type C connections are becoming available on the rear I/O panel of some motherboards. With the advantages of type C connections (smaller, reversible connection, and the ability to provide more power to a connected device) it appears to be just a matter of time before type C becomes a common connection type. Look out another 5 or 10 years and there is a good chance other new standards will appear that your current case is unable to support. If you can meet your requirements without supporting new standards then your current case meets your needs. When you current case can no longer meet your needs then it is time for a new case.
