Some time back, I read a study of the best cooling fan options.
As I recall, side fan intake was one of the best.
That is counter intuitive these days with strong front intake being prevalent.
The reason it works is that a 200mm side fan can move a lot of cooling air into the case.
In time, that air gathers component heat, and with a free exit opening on the top and rear, you can have a good cooling case.
It will not work well with today's fetish about aio coolers because there is no good place to mount a big radiator.
