CASSANDRA GOTH, COLD-HEARTED MOTHER! (The Saga Continues...)

I want to slap her, I really do.

Is Cassandra a heartless, self-centered b****? All she thinks about is
herself. And she's always miserable.

Little toddler Bella Goth is heading towards childhood. Her wants
include being talked to, played with and snuggled by Cassandra. Yet
when I click on her to do these things, she just stands there. She
looks and me and whines with a marriage and also a BABY desire floating
above her head. She wants **another** baby?? She won't even take care
of the one she's got!! As for wanting a husband--keep dreaming, baby.
You're lazy. You're getting as fat as Kirstie Ally, and you whine and
cry all day. Yep, you're quite a catch.

Despite having Cassandra for a mother, Bella became a fine, happy child
right on schedule. But when I clicked on Cassandra to throw her a
birthday party, she just stood there whining about her relationships, so
I had Mortimer do it. When I clicked on the birthday cake to have her
light the candles, she just stood there and waved at me, so I had
Mortimer do it. Everyone gathered 'round the cake to celebrate...but
Cassandra was the last one to come and the first one to walk away and
start stuffing her face with the hamburgers still left on the table.
Then she goes over and talks to the bartender catering the party.

After Bella became a child, she went to sleep upstairs. Both Mortimer
and Alexander autonomously went over to tuck her in and give her a kiss
(Alexander is going to make a great parent) but Cassandra just passed
her by on her own way to bed.

Oh, and by the way, first it was Jen and Brad, now it's Mortimer and
Dina. They're splitsville. Morty caught Dina fast-dancing with a
female neighbor and getting a little feely and he had a big fight with
her. The bright red hearts popped up with big slashes through them. I
checked his options and BREAK UP was the first one, so I clicked it.
Dina went running crying from the house, although Morty spent the next
morning on the phone with her so maybe they'll get back together. Their
relationship has gone up again very quickly.

How Bella is ever going to grow up normal in a screwy household like
this is beyond me. Tonight the headmaster comes over and Morty will try
to get his granddaughter in private school. (I'm sure Cassandra will
just moan and whine the whole time.) Oh, boy...

Perhaps it's time for her to go for a swim? Or, better yet, to solitary
confinement? [assuming, of course, they haven't added ways for Sims to
escape those fates in TS2]

Can't you get another Sim to do that for you? ;->

Cassandra was always a cold little bitch in Sims 1, so this is really
no surprise.

Awww. I like this. Maybe I'd better uninstall the no-jealousy patch
that came with the teen woohoo patch.

Will that interfere with the headmaster's visit? I haven't played
that yet.

I really haven't studied the Prima guide, but how much of her problem lies
in the conflict between her Astrological sign and her aspiration? I have
been assigning aspirations at random, and not attempting to associate them
with a particular sign, but I have some Romance, Success, and Knowledge sims
who are wonderful parents and spouses (as long as they are careful about
where they whohoo) and some Family sims who are of the Cassandra type.
Fulfilling their ambitions doesn't seem to make them happy. I think I've
solved the Cassandra problem with nannies and making Don a frequent visitor
rather than a live-in husband, but does anyone know the effect of sign on
them? Cassandra behaves more like my happier Knowledge sims. (Although
this is probably a sign that I need to get a life, isn't it?)

Isn't it strange? In my game, Cass is a wonderful mother and very
successful in her career.
I suppose it's all in how you play the game?

I guess. She's also quite happy and content in my game. She and Darren have
a great marriage and 3 kids together. She had two by Don before she kicked
him out.

My God, I just started to play and I had no idea it was so complicated.I'm
still pissed at Mortimer for losing his job.
