Casual Gamer GPU under 80$ (Not sure what i really need) (Budget Build)

I'm building a desktop computer for my sister, she had a pretty low budget and i need help choosing a gpu to go along with it, just not sure what she needs.

I purchased pretty much everything on that list except the ram/case/hard drive. I inputted the prices i paid/expect to pay(in the case of the case/ram/hdd) into the pcpartpicker.


All i need now is a gpu, she gave me a 350$ budget, but im going to kick in 60$ for her to see if we cant get her/her son a little more oomph in the gaming department.(if it wasn't for her son i probably would have just gone wth a a10 5800k and saved some money lol.)

Now, she will use this computer for the usual, internet browsing, streaming netflix, watching videos, etc.

Her son will be playing minecraft, a few other light games that even my old gt 430(maybe it was 420) could handle, but i would like to do a little better, think we can get him into some of the newer games on medium in this price range?

I just want to get him the best that i can with 80$ before taxes/rebates


They do not have a monitor currently, but they want a 21 inch screen which is 1920x1080p, they will be hooking it up to a 55 inch tv until then.

Guess the 7770 is it then huh, anything comparable on the Green side? I have always been partial to nvidia lol, but if not this will be just fine.

also the wattage requirement according to tomshardwares recommend gpus is 450 watts, think it will be okay with the 430 from the corsair cx 430?

I hear you, I prefer Nvidia as well but honestly for $69 after rebate, green doesn't have anything even close haha. As for your power supply, it is more than enough for a 7770 or a 7850.

The gt 640 is the only Nvidia card in that price range but the 7730 beats it by 13-17% and the 7770 beats them both albeit being more expensive.
