So I have my instrument cord that wasn't plugged into my bass and, of course, my cat peed on the cord and the tip. I washed it, but can I still use it safely? I don't really have the funds to buy a new one.

Solution
Cord and tip should be okay.

As long as the wash water was fairly pure and no metal corrosion has taken place.

Just be sure the plug is dry - hang it in front of fan in a way that will let water drip down and out.

When dry, just wipe and polish the tip a with a clean cotton cloth.

Lol, yeah, you should be fine. Just make sure everything is nice, clean, and dry before you go plugging stuff back in.

And consider yourself lucky, my dog lifted a leg on one of my guitar amps once, and for the duration of my ownership of that amp, every once in awhile while playing it there would be a faint smell of stale urine in the air. 😀
