I recently upgraded my Internet to a Full Fibre Gigabit Contract (with TalkTalk - Rated Speeds of Approx 950mbps download, 800mbps Upload on their site)
I originally used CAT6 cables as I read they should be enough to handle Gigabit Networks (Cables Used here) however with those cables I only achieved around 600mbps download 90mbps upload.
To check if it was the fibre connection to my area or the cable I bought CAT8 Cables (link here) which gave me 900mbps download 110 Upload)
Both tests went through 2 Netgear hubs (the G305E and G308E) with both hubs connected with a longer version of the CAT8 cable I have linked above.
(My PC is connected via a CAT8 cable linked here - I did notice that despite the UGREEN CAT8 cable also being CAT8 it was slightly slower than the PRIMEWIRE CAT8 cable)
My Router from TalkTalk was an Amazon Eero Pro 6

Your problems is all the cables you are buying are not actually "ethernet" cables. These are all fake cables mostly because the things called "CAT" mean nothing actual ethernet standards are based on things like EIA/TIA certifications and a couple others.

Hard to say what the cat8 cables really are. You are not going to find something like this on amazon. The equipment that has the 40gbit ports that can use actual cat8 cable costs many thousands of dollars. Most real cat8 cable are over $50.

The cat6 cable you have is one of the worst example of fake cables. Those flat cable have wires much too thin to ever meet the standards of a ethernet cable.

You actually need nothing real special to get 1gbit. You only need cat5e. Key is the wire must be pure copper (no CCA) and have wire size 22-24 AWG. If you can not find that information buy from another vendor, reputable vendors know about the fake cables and make it very clear they are selling a quality product.

This is so unfortanate that you can't buy fake purses on amazon but even amazon sells cables that are fakes. Then again the groups that make standards for cables are not actual companies that will sue everyone.
