Hey all
Ive ordered the wrong cables and they've just turned up so I was wondering would it be ok to use cat7 flat patch cables for general use? I meant to order cat6 but messed up.
Ive got fibre optic broadband with a router and separate bt open reach box so It will be used for the bt open reach box - router, router - main home plug, nas drive - router, Ps4 - home plug #2, minix android tv box - home plug #2.
Thanks for your time and sorry for being so clueless.

Cat7 is one of the fastest ethernet cables out there right now.
But they do tend to be a bit long

Enjoy your new ethernet cable

Thank you. From what Ive read about it I guessed it was better but Ive seen that its used for heavy duty stuff like offices etc so was wary about using it for simple stuff like my above setup.Ive read that it should be grounded and stuff like that so as soon as I saw that my heart started beating a bit faster lol.So its all good to use it then?
