Catalyst 3.8's released

...and if you've figured out how to assign 3d profiles to a specific game, please share it with me.

On a preliminary inspection of the drivers, I can see how to make profiles, but not how to link them to specific games...

I browsed the white papers and I dont think there is a way to link it to the startup of a program. Just their handydandy taskbar program, which is still pretty convienent!
I've been waiting for this feature for some time, took NV/ATI a while to implement it.

I think you have to switch profile before starting your game.

Pretty good so far. But I haven't stressed them much. No issues on install. Removed Omega setup files, uninstalled omegas, ran Cat 3.8s and voila, all's right in the world.

I like the VPU Recover tool. I'm gonna try it with Mozilla 1.5b BETA and see if I can get it to crash again, and see what happens. I've been using Firebird so far without issue. I'd like to see what this VPU revoer tool does, as that i the only time I've had a serious graphics related crash.

I also like seeing the clock rate feature native to the Catalysts now, and surprisingly enough it kept the clockrates I set for the Omegas (456/318).

Happy so far. I wonder what OMEGA will do with them. I may have to wait for a good review before deciding to change this time (for the first time).
