Catalyst 8.4 works great for XP.

Catalyst 8.3 gave me worse 3dMark 06 numbers vs. 8.2.
Catalyst 8.4 is better than 8.2 for 3dMark06.

8.2 is the first score and 8.4 is next.

anyone else gotta say anything? i perform pretty much the same on my HiS 3870 in XP. the 8.3 were cack.

what are they like for vista? x86 and x64?!?!

I agree, the 8.4s kick ass. Solved my clock speed issues in SupComm and Vegas 2 on my 3870x2 (it wasn't kicking up to the normal clock speeds all the time)

Well for Vista 8.3 didn't really hinder anything. In fact my 3DMark06 score jumped by about 50-100 points with 8.3 compared to 8.2. It also just increased performance in a lot of games for Vista like Crysis.

All 8.4 did for Vista was fix the stuttering issue, which I never once noticed.
