Hi,
I decided to join the forum, to pass on some information regarding this
problem, which I experienced earlier today.
I hope it's of some help.
when this problem occurs, most people will instinctively try to reinstall,
but as we know most of the time this does'nt work, what seems to be lacking
is any means to repair the problem, from the most obvious place of all, and
that is the installer, (as with the windows installer for instance).
On this point, I started searching on my system in particular the AMD and ATI
folders, and came across the following file, this is how it appears on my
system, I can't see it being much different on other users systems.
C:\AMD\Support\13-1-legacy_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc\Packages\Apps\CCC2\Core-Static
What I found, was when I clicked on the file which in fact is an installer, was
that one of the options was to "REPAIR", so I chose to repair, after which I
rebooted my system and when I got back to the desktop, everything was back to
normal, I'm not saying this will work for everyone but it worked like a charm
for me, even if it only helps a few people, it's another option as a workaround.
Best regards
