Catalyst control center Not Updating

I bought a new msi radeon 6670 and installed d cd drivers.....d catalyst control center was version 11.4 nd i tried to ipdate to 12.4... i evn did the installation but still it shows me 11.4 only....what is the problem?
can someone help?

Sounds like the display driver 11.4 didn't fully uninstall. (a reason i love nvidia no more safe mode booting and removal =))

Run a driver cleaner or driver sweeper in safe mode after you uninstall the driver to make sure its fully removed. Just be sure to only remove the Display(video) drivers and not chipset drivers.

d drivers installed correctly....i read another post here where many have problem upgrading to 12.4
guess i'l try installing 12.3 or 12.2 then

Also have the same problem, I have a previously installed Catalyst 11.6. I uninstalled it first, then installed the 12.4, but the software info about the Driver ver. is still 11.6... Need answers too. :3

Try installing 12.3 and running with that until they come out with 12.5. I'm still using 12.3, with no problems, mainly because I heard a few people were having trouble with 12.4. I heard much the same when people went from 12.1 to 12.2. I skipped 12.2 and now I'm starting to wonder if it isn't the best idea to only d/l the odd numbered updates, 12.3, 12.5, etc. Sorry I can't be of more help, but good luck.
