catalyst control center

i keep getting msgs that catalyst control center is slowing my windows down. can i uninstall this thing ?

You can, but I wouldn't advise it. That is basically the control panel for your video card.

If you want to, you can remove the catalyst control center, and just install the catalyst display driver. However, I don't think I've ever seen a windows message that says CCC is slowing down windows.

I've gotten that msg twice when i was looking in processes. something is making windows hang. ( i have windows 7 and dont really like it ).

Did you get some kind of notification that CCC was slowing down windows? Or was it just using some system resources (which is normal)?
