Hey all,
I just finished building my new rig;
ASUS P4P800DX motherboard
256MB SAMSUNG DDR RAM (400Mhz)
iNtel PIV 2.6 Ghz, 800FSB
ATI RADEON 9600XT 128MB - retail
I am having a problem everytime I try and install the Catalyst software suite, it begins by installing the driver but fails everytime after reporting "INF not found" ... followed by another dialogue that reads "Video driver not found please try and reinstall after updating your video adapter driver to a generic VGA compatible driver."
I've tried everything including a manual installation of the driver via the MMC\Device Manager, but the operating system (WinXP Pro) won't "find" the driver on the CD.
I think the issue might be that my CD-rom drive is F:\ rather than the more common D:\. I'd love some input or related experiences on this because I have a great video card but the darned thing won't take!
A very exasperated,
Hurin
