Any help with this or anything to shed light on this situation. Just got the R7 360 newly from best buy, since I am going to upgrade my GPU. Now I did clean everything with driver fusion, and DDU, so no problems there. Then I had to install the new drivers for my graphics card. I then went and installed the latest drivers. But when I tried to install them this pops up "Catalyst Install Manager failed to initialize". I click ok, then another error, "Catalyst install manager failed to initialize package manager". Then I proceed to accept terms, then the failed to intialize pops up again. At that time I am pretty close to flipping out and flinging my build out the door in rage, and then after all that, the installer is stuck at "Installing Components: Overall progress"

P.S. using vista 64 bit for this

Same thing with the disk, with the same errors and everything

if I remember correctly, when you run a Catalyst Control Center install/update it'll first extract the download to a folder (I think the default is C:/AMD) then from there there'll be a new installer that will actually install the software. Do you know what part of this whole process is actually messing up?

Not that I know of. This never happened to me with the older drivers on older GPUs, like the R7 250X I used before this, never had this problem. This is pretty new to me since the GPU came out not long ago

Yeah I put in the older drivers
It reads the the GPU as "R7 200"
I will update it and see if that works

Before I update I am going to test it with a few games and see if the drivers
installed correctly

P.S. Did not work out. I am getting DirectX errors and games not opening up such as TF2 and FSX
