Catch me up on m.2?

Put together a new build a year or two ago. Used a 500gb Evo 960. I believe there is room for a second and I'm getting the itch for another m.2. kind of thinking of a slower 1tb this time, but maybe a faster 500gb also. What's the news on m.2 lately?

The same as before and dependent on what motherboard you have. But in general can support PCIe NVME SSDs at 32Gb/s or SATA III SSD at 6Gb/s

Samsung 970 EVO.

Looks like 300 for a 960 Evo and 350 for a 970 Evo. Worth the fifty bucks either way?

I looked at the evos because I have one. Anything else that is hot or are they still at the top?
