Cavalry external hard drive

Hello,
I just bought a Cavalry CAXM Series 500gb Black External Hard Drive CAXM37500. For some reason, it won't detect on the computer. It will detect in the little quick launch window for safely removing hardware (like a flash drive or whatever).Is there a way to fix it?

It doesn't sound like anything is wrong.
After the "little quick launch window" opens, click on the appropriate use for the HDD.
I think one of the options is Open folders and files or something like that.
Just click on that option, then the external drive should be accessible through the Windows Explorer assuming the HDD is formatted.
