Cavier green or cavier black

hello,what is the difference here,becasue i know the cavier black uses more power compared to green which uses less.but do they do the same job?

The green use less power than the black, plus many are 5400 rpm instead of 7200 rpm.

The basic tradeoff is power vs. speed. The green drives spin more slowly and they automatically spin down after several seconds of inactivity.

Choose a black drive for the OS where performance is more critical. Green drives are well suited to be backup drives or bulk storage where you need space but not speed.

There is no such thing as a "Cavier" drive from Western Digital. They are called "CAVIAR" drives.
