Hi,

I have decided to try vectrex programming and have a question about the
cross assemblers.

I tried to complie some examples that I found with the Ccasm (I used
Portal-9 Ide) but they did not work. Could this be because the sources were
orignally written for As09? Or are there any differences in the syntaxes of
these cross assemblers?

If there are differences between the assemblers which one would be better
for a beginner?

Regards,

Sauli.

Greetings to a fellow Finnish Vec-programmer.
I'm no expert with assemblers, but I'm pretty sure that might be your
problem.
I was a TOTAL beginner when I started with the Vectrex (other than
doing some BASIC and C++ stuff way back) and even I managed to do a
game and a bunch of unfinished ones. See my pages at

me.
