CD drive constant ejection!

HI,
For the past couple of weeks, my Cd drive has constantly been ejecting and
re-engaging with NO disc in the drive. It may not do it for a period of time
when I first boot up and then it starts it's eratic behaviour. I've tried
everything I can think of to try and stop it......I've disabled the drive,
uninstalled the drive, rolled back the driver. Scanned the PC for virus's,
did Adware spyware scan. Did PC health check. I even did a Non destructive
recovery of the system!
if anyone has some advice please HELP!!

Sounds like the Eject function is malfunctioning. You may need to install
a new one. Check eBay, they start at $1.00 on up.
