I have recently built a new gaming PC. I am trying to install Windows 7 by disk but my BIOS will not recognise the disk drive. It can however recognise a USB drive I plugged into it, so it isn't the motherboard's fault. The disk drive is connected via a 6Gb/s Sata cable, an image of the drive is here: http://imgur.com/a/rBNgV

Sidenote: This drive is from my old PC and is still located in it as I can't get the disk drive out. The case is a Cooler Master 430 Elite and does not use screws. Even when the latch is in the OPEN position it is still stuck in there.

SPECS
CPU: Intel i5-6600k
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (4*4GB)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H55
Mobo: ASUS Z170-A
GPU: MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X
PSU: EVGA Supernova 550W G2

Solution
page 5 of the manual show you how to get it out its toolless once you get it out of the case then you remove the screws from the toolless slider part attached to the dvd drive

''Even when the latch is in the OPEN position it is still stuck in there'' may need a good tap and yank ???

I assume the dvd drive still work as normal with the old build ??? or is it you put the new build in the case replaceing the old build ??

I guess you do know 7 and skylake is not what intel and Microsoft want you to do ?? and you may not get full support . and you got to use there tool to install it to replace the parts of 7 that's been removed to help keep you from using it in...
