my cd/dvd drive is not opening on my hp cpu

Is the drive lighting up(any LED on it)?

Try getting a paperclip and inserting it into the small hole and press it firmly inside, this is the manual release for the drive.

Do you mean Autorun ?? -- If so IIRC MS update recently disabled the autorun due to security concerns.
