I have a cd/dvd on my emachine desktop that doesn't work. It is in device managaer with and exlamation point in yellow. it says error 39 missing or corrupt driver. I did the fixit thing on microsoft, that didn't work. It also shows up in the bios. Ihave an external cd/dvd , when i tried it , i got the same error message. I would like to completely wipe the windows xp operating system off and reinstall it, but i cannot do it because the cd/dvd doesn't work. Does anyone know how i can correct this problem
